Purchase of Grand Champion Lamb Raises Funds for Students
at Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo
FORT WORTH, Texas February 10, 2015 – American Aero FTW is encouraging young entrepreneurial spirits to fly high in Fort Worth by supporting 4H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) competitors at the annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. American Aero FTW is a fixed-base operator (FBO) located at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas.
At this year’s stock show, American Aero and Christopher Bass, son of owner Robert M. Bass, paid $40,000 to Claire Hamlett, 17, of Snyder, Texas, for her Grand Champion lamb, Bear. A junior at Snyder High School, Hamlett started showing animals for the Snyder 4-H in her freshman year. Snyder 4-H is a nonprofit organization that teaches youth leadership and responsibility through community service and project activities.
American Aero FTW General Manager Riggs Brown also led fundraising efforts for the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate, an organization that purchases animals at the event. This year, the Syndicate raised over $3.7 million to support students in 4H and FFA clubs.
“American Aero FTW is proud to play a role in encouraging future entrepreneurs in our community,” said Brown. “The sky is truly the limit for these young people and we want to help them achieve their dreams.”
